Firmware Update Guide

• Keeping your Pathway 4G router’s firmware up to date is essential for optimal performance and connectivity. Firmware updates ensure your device is compatible with the latest SIM provider settings, resolve potential connection issues, and improve functionality. 
• Occasionally, SIM providers may change their settings, and we continually update the firmware to meet those changes. If you're experiencing connection problems, a firmware update might resolve the issue.
• Follow the steps below to update your firmware:

• Step 1:

• Plug your Pathway 4G router into a power supply and wait until the device is fully functional.

• Step 2:

• While waiting for the Pathway 4G to boot up, download the latest firmware file from the following link: Latest Firmware Update

• Step 3:

• Once the Pathway 4G is discoverable, connect to it using the default Wi-Fi password 12345678, or the password you’ve previously set.

• Step 4:

• Open a web browser on your device. In the URL address bar, type the IP address 192.168.0.1 to access the router’s admin page.

• Step 5:

• Log into the admin page using the default admin password admin, or the password you’ve previously changed it to.

• Step 6:

• Navigate to the System tab in the left-hand sidebar. From the dropdown menu, click on Upgrade to access the firmware upgrade page.

• Step 7:

• Click Choose File and locate the firmware file you downloaded in Step 2. Select the file to upload it to the device.

• Step 8:

• Click the Update button. A green progress bar will appear on the page—allow up to 5 minutes for the update to complete.

• Step 9:

• After the update is complete, turn the Pathway 4G router off for 10 seconds and then turn it back on.

• Perform a factory reset to finalise the update (see the factory reset guide here: Factory Reset Guide Your Pathway 4G router should now have the latest firmware installed.
